Paid Time Off (PTO)

Our goal is to provide benefits to as many of our associates as possible and be modern and flexible in our definitions.

As a result, we’ve expanded our Salaried classifications, adding a new Modified Salaried status of employment, and created complete definitions so associates can clearly understand and evaluate their benefit eligibility.

Salaried Associates

Salaried Associates are defined as those who are normally work 36 hours or more per week. Across the country, Salaried is generally defined as working a 40-hour workweek; however, we are more modern in our thinking and have chosen 36 hours to provide all eligible benefits, including but not limited to Floating Holidays and Paid Time Off. Eligibility for Floating Holidays and PTO will be determined in January and July by looking at the average hours worked over the prior 182 days. Those averaging more than 36 worked hours or more per week will be eligible for benefits on the first date of the following month (February or August).

Once eligible, we will review an associate’s worked hours every 18 months to ensure that they are still meeting the 36 hours per week threshold. Should they fall below the 36 average hours worked, they will be dropped down to modified full time status and stop accruing paid time off and no longer receive floating holiday hours.

Health and Wellness benefits are provided as described in our handbook and are provided after meeting the 12-month Affordable Care Act measurement period and having worked at least 1,560 hours in the past 12 months. Eligibility will be determined in November for January enrollment, February for April enrollment, May for July enrollment, and August for October enrollment. Enrollment is for the current calendar year.

Hourly Associates

Hourly Associates are defined as those who are work 30 hours or more per week. Hourly associates are generally eligible for health and wellness benefits, these benefits are provided as described in our handbook and are provided after meeting the 12-month Affordable Care Act measurement period and having worked at least 1,560 hours in the past 12 months. Eligibility will be determined in November for January enrollment, February for April enrollment, May for July enrollment, and August for October enrollment. Enrollment is for the current calendar year.
